Tomorrow marks the spring equinox and the first day of spring.  After a winter of very cold temperatures I know I am ready for the weather to warm up.  Of course, as warm weather approaches so does the time to switch from heating mode to cooling mode on your thermostat.  If you are anything like me, I always get a little nervous when I go to make the switch but once I feel that cool air blowing I know everything is working as it should.  This is also a good time of year to set your A/C unit up for success, here’s an article we wrote with a few simple things you can do to maximize your unit’s efficiency.

This month I also investigated a situation (typically on a plane) where it looks like smoke is coming out of the air conditioner vents.  If you are an infrequent flyer you might see this and have a moment of panic followed by some confusion as to why no one is doing anything about it.  Rest assured that it isn’t smoke but just water condensing out of the air and quickly re-evaporating.  If you are interested in learning more about the phenomena be sure to check out our article on the topic.

In case you missed it last month, we recently announced our sponsorship of the 7th Annual Jackrabbit 5K race.  The race will be held on April 13th so expect to hear next month how we did.  The proceeds from this event go towards the purchase of athletic shoes for community neighbors in need.  For more information, you can read our full announcement or see more about participating as a team or becoming a sponsor yourself at the the Jackrabbit website.

Be sure to check our website regularly for updates or follow us on FacebookLinkedIn or Twitter. We wish you the best this month and if you ever have need of any of our services, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Have a great day!
