Summer is in full swing now with temperatures reaching close to three digits here in Arkansas.  With weather like that I am always so thankful for air conditioning and the ability to go inside where it is cool, but that hasn’t always been the case, of course.  Before air conditioning, building designers had a few tricks they used to try and keep the inside from heating up too much.  These strategies worked primarily to keep the sun out and to maximum natural ventilation.  It was a bit more challenging to actually cool the air, but early strategies, dating back as far as 2500 BC, relied on the process of evaporative cooling and were effective in many arid regions of the world.

Congratulations are due to Pho Thanh Restaurant on their recent move.  Forward Engineers was honored to have been a part of the design team for this project.  Check out our recent post to see some photos of the new space.

If you didn’t hear our announcement last month, Forward Engineers is proud to be the executive sponsor for the 24th Annual Green Valley Bible Camp Golf Tournament.  For the third year in a row, we are excited to be a supporter of this great organization.
